What can I expect at a lesson?

Online classroom lessons occur from the convenience of the student’s home. The student completes 30 hours of classroom instruction. When completed, the student will receive their electronic “blue card” via email. Once the email is received, the student will be able to schedule their permit/knowledge test at any local DMV location.

Behind the wheel lessons will begin at the address provided when scheduled and will last approximately two hours. A Carz Driving School vehicle will be used for the lesson.

Who can enroll in the driving school?

Any student who is at least 14 years of age or older may register for the online classroom lessons.  Any student who possesses a valid learner’s permit or driver’s license, regardless of age or experience level, can enroll in our driving school. We cater to first-time drivers, experienced drivers looking to improve their skills, and individuals with special needs who require tailored instruction.

How do I schedule a driving lesson?

Once a student is registered and payment has been received, you will simply visit our scheduling page and choose an available date and time. We recommend booking lessons in advance to secure your preferred time slot.

How long is each lesson and how many lessons do I need?

Students’ Under 18:

Online Classroom: Student’s complete their 30 classroom hours from the comfort of their own home. Each online classroom lesson last about 1 hr. Students are allowed to complete up to 3 lessons a day. Therefore, if they complete 3 lessons a day, they will finish their 30 lessons in as little as 10 days. Once a student begins their first lesson, they will have up to 60 days to complete all 30 lessons. When they complete the course, they will then receive their Blue Card, which they need in order to take their official permit test at one of the many DMV locations.

Behind the Wheel: Each behind the wheel (btw) lesson lasts 2 hours. Students under 18 years of age must complete 6 hours (3 lessons) of btw instruction with a licensed instructor in order to be eligible to take their driver’s license exam. Students should spread their 3 lessons out over the time they have their permit. It is recommended for students to have at least 10 hours of driving with a parent/guardian before booking their first btw lesson.

Student’s over 18: Each driving lesson lasts 2 hours. Beginners may need more lessons to build a solid foundation, while experienced drivers might only require a few sessions to polish their skills.

What should I bring to my driving lesson?

For each driving lesson, you should bring your valid learner’s permit or driver’s license, comfortable driving shoes, and any required eyewear.

Can I use my own vehicle for the driving lessons

No, per state guidelines, all students will use our licensed school vehicles which are equipped with dual controls for safety and are designed to ease the learning process.
